We have selected a high quality extruded solid brass 3 X 3  or 3 X 2-1/2 full mortise hinge for our screen and storm doors. Considerably heavier than the “Residential Grade” hinges typically found in most hardware stores, these hinges are individually machined from an extruded bar of solid brass. The removable hinge pin is machined from stainless steel and lightly knurled on one end to prevent it from falling through the barrel when the lower finial is not installed. This allows the installer to trial fit the screen door during hanging without the nuisance of repeatedly installing and removing the finials.
